Dancer and choreographer Natalie Hunt is the Mampara Dance Company founder and director and has run studio and performance companies in the UK and Asia for over a decade.  Mampara Dance Company offers both performance appearances and studio classes.

NATALIE HUNT:  Dancer and choreographer Natalie Hunt is founder and director of Mampara Dance Company (MDC), Active Body Collective (ABC) and Barre Sculpt, and has worked in the dance and fitness industry in London and Shanghai for over a decade.  Natalie studied at The Urdang Academy in London and at The BRB Dance Exchange, is qualified with ISTD and BGU, and has performance credits including with Diversions Dance Company, Wayne Sleep, and for Tony Lundon.  

Mampara Dance Company: Natalie founded MDC in 2011 and since then the company has taught adults and children across London for studios including Dance Attic, Spirit Young, LAMDA, Sadler’s Wells, The Urdang Academy, The Place, Sylvia Young, Arts Educational, City Academy and in many schools. Studio and school programmes have included ballet, jazz, commercial dance, gymnastics, cheerleading (stunts, dance & tumble), body conditioning, Barre conditioning flexibility, partner dance (specialising in Argentine Tango) and more.

Active Body Collective:  In the last 6 years Natalie has started to specialist in dance technique based conditioning under her brand Active Body Collective (ABC), a dance, fitness and wellness company combining her expertise in boutique fitness - Barre, Ballet, Body Sculpt, Flexibility, Resistance & Weight Training, Body Weight Conditioning, PiYo and Trigger Point MyoFascial Release - with that of other industry professional in wellness and pure fitness disciplines such as Tai Chi, QiGong, Yoga, Pilates, HIIT, Rebound, TRX, Kettlesbells and more.  It turns out this concept was perfectly set up for online collaboration and she is now working with some of the UK's finest instructors.  

The Barre Sculpt Method:  Drawing on more than twenty years of experience in dance training, performance and the dance technique based fitness industry, Natalie has created her own method of strength and conditioning training covering Barre Ballet Sculpt, Barre Body Sculpt, Barre Stretch & Sculpt and Barre Flex & Flow.  In collaboration with other industry experts and programmes this is soon to expand to include Barre Cardio Sculpt and Barre HIIT & Sculpt.

The London Roses:  A level 5 Cheerleading coach, she has led squads and performances for the American Football Premier League, the RFC and England Basketball.  Her Cheerleading programme The London Roses - and it’s squads The Jets, The Spitfires and Hurricanes - have performed at National Sports events and won at Nationals twice.  

MDC Professional Performances:  MDC has choreographed and performed for events and shows around the world, including for ITV, the BBC, McLaren F1, Christian Dior, national sports events at The Oval and Olympic Park, theatres including Sadler's Wells and The New Theatre, Fulham Palace, Kew Palace, The British Library and more. 

MDC Student Performances: MDC stages two shows a year at LAMDA's Sainsbury Theatre in West London and once a year at the prestigious central London's Cadogan Hall. Students of all ages and abilities are invited to take to the stage.

Hero Movement:  Natalie is also co-founder of Hero Movement an empowerment through dance programme for schools and specialises in education and interactive dance experiences and performances for students of all ages, working with the very best dancers in a huge range of styles.  She has created dance programmes for all educational ages, that take syllabus teaching points from academic subjects and explore them through dance pieces.   Hero Movement is also frequently found around the country running educational programmes and events at venues including Kew and Fulham Palaces, the Olympic Park, Hatfield House and Jamie Oliver’s fantastic Big Feastival.

Online Dance & Fitness - Live & On Demand:  Like most in the arts and fitness spaces Covid-19 has transformed the way Mampara Dance, Active Body Collective, Barre Sculpt, The London Roses and Hero Movement are operating.   Immediate moves to take classes online have produced live and on demand content and partnerships with other leading professionals through ABC have created a timetable of 100s of classes a week.  New projects and relationships are underway including our first Summer Showcase under lockdown and new partnerships with a leading online dance fitness provider.  And we're not done yet!

Programme Director Natalie Hunt is an IDTA / UKCA / BGU dance, cheerleading, gymnastics coach and dance teacher has a decade of experience in dance education and event production.  Within the International School system across the UK and Asia she has made a specialty of creating dance programmes for all educational ages, (from tots to 6th form), that take syllabus teaching points from academic subjects and explore them through dance pieces.  She is co-founder of Hero Movement an empowerment through dance programme for schools.  She has been a dance, Cheerleading and gymnastics teacher for schools & clubs across London (in Wimbledon, Sheen, Barnes, St Margaret's, Ravens Court Park, Richmond, Chiswick, Fulham & Kingston) and was previously head Cheerleading coach for the American Football Premier League Champions & the RFC.  She now teaches at world renown studios including LAMDA, Sadler’s Wells, Urdang Academy, The Place, Sylvia Young, Spirit Young, Arts Educational, Dance Attic and for City Academy.  She .  Her personal professional dance journey encompasses professional cheerleading for squads including the Oval’s Surrey Lions 20:20 Cricket and National American Football Champions The London Warriors, event dance performances in historic styles from Regency dancing to Cancan to 1920s-50s jazz and Lindy Hop, and for the last 6 years, Argentine Tango.  She coaches the Barnes Jets Junior Cheerleading Squad in SW13, who cheerlead for the Barnes Rugby Football Club and other local events.  Her company is frequently found producing family friendly dance workshops and events for thousands of participants at venues ranging from Kew and Fulham Palaces, to the Olympic Park and Hatfield House.  Her production work often partners with historic vintage and classic jazz concert production company, The Jazz Repertory Company (www.jazzrep.co.uk) creating internationally touring shows featuring the finest musicians in Europe recreating historic moments from 1920s, 30s, 40s and 50s popular music and dance.
